Martyrs’ Shrine
The Martyrs’ Shrine has an energizing effect on people, regardless of their religious, ethnic or cultural background: it tells the story of Canadian martyrs and their companions.
Located on more than 75 hectares, with a well-maintained landscape, the Martyrs’ Shrine is both a museum and an architecturally inspiring historic church; it’s the perfect place for family picnics.
Hugging the Wye River, it’s also linked to Sainte-Marie-au-pays-des-Hurons by a foot path.
Pilgrims from all over the world are welcome there. It’s the only national shrine in Canada outside Quebec.
